The Moon Pendant has a 4mm genuine square cut Black Spinel gemstone and the pendant is approximately 1" in diameter and hangs from a 17” multi strand black ruthenium plated sterling silver collar with a gold barrel clasp.
When thinking of the environmental impacts of working with gold, sometimes I hand fabricate from 'in the studio' recycled 18kt yellow gold, which means I melt down left over gold, roll it into sheet gold and hand fabricate it into new jewelry. Recycled gold in studio is the most environmental process to reuse gold. The Moon Pendant was hand fabricated from this type of 18kt yellow gold, giving it a lower environmental impact score.
